Community Guidelines

Last updated: 2026-08-05

HOOP is built on small circles of people who trust each other. These guidelines exist to keep every circle safe. They apply to everything on HOOP: messages, calls, posts, rooms, games, music, avatars, and channel broadcasts. They are part of the Terms of Use — breaking them has consequences.

Zero tolerance. Objectionable content and abusive behaviour are removed and the accounts responsible are suspended or terminated — without notice, without refund. Content endangering children is reported to law enforcement.

1. Never allowed

2. Respect the room

Rooms (music, games, werewolf, work, channels) each have a host and a purpose. Don't hijack rooms, drown out others, or use broadcast surfaces to push content people didn't sign up for. In masked or anonymous spaces the rules still apply — anonymity is not immunity.

3. How to report and block

Report a message — long-press the message → Report.

Report a post or profile — open the ⋯ menu → Report.

Block someone — their profile → ⋯ → Block. They can no longer reach you or see your content.

Urgent or outside the app — email legal@hoopcomm.com.

Every report is reviewed and acted on within 24 hours. Reports are confidential — the person you report is not told who reported them.

4. What enforcement looks like

  1. Content removal — violating content is taken down.
  2. Feature limits or suspension — repeated or serious violations suspend the account.
  3. Permanent termination — the worst violations (child safety, credible threats, fraud) end the account immediately and may be reported to authorities.

If you think we got it wrong, appeal by email and we will take a second look.
